Summer News, School Camp on Texel for the language class

 

In January 2016 the  Adriaan Roland Holst School (ARH) in Bergen started a language class for refugee children in the age of 12-17 years old. At the moment 15 children from Eritrea, Afghanistan and Syria participate. They are taught Dutch, mathematics, sports and various creative subjects. The children are motivated and make excellent progress. Like the other classes of the school the language class went on holiday camp to the island of Texel in the northern Netherlands
In September this year a new buddy project will start. Each child in the language class will be assisted by a personal Dutch friend . The selection already took place the buddies were invited to join the group on Texel to get to know each other better and to undertake various activities.
