An initiative to future-proof old techniques, connect cultures and establish the international (in)tangible heritage of the art of embroidery.
who are they?
The Crafts Council organizes workshops and master classes; brings crafts people together and presents (online) lectures and master classes. This also involves embroidery techniques from a variety of countries, such as China, India, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Since the foundation (2013) the Crafts council aims to preserve the knowledge and skills of the older generation and to offer it to younger people; to those want to learn but have little idea of where to find the specific knowledge.
Contributing to the development of crafts and the creative craft culture. They do this both by supporting individual makers and by defining, making visible and promoting the sector; the crafts domain.
